Other people, going cool places

My friend Sam (from last summer in Mo'orea) has put up a YouTube video of his recent trip from Santa Barbara to Antarctica, where he was a field assistant at Palmer Station on the Antarctic Peninsula.

And, for something slightly less exotic but even cuter, my friend Okuyama-san has put up some photos of creatures he saw on a trip to Taiwan last summer. That first thing on the left that looks like a ladybeetle is actually a spider. The big, dark brown thing is a huge slug. I wonder if it's larger than a banana slug?
