Seta in Berkeley

On the corner of Oxford and Fulton, ten minutes from my apartment in Berkeley, Ryukoku University has opened a center for Jōdo Shinshū (a major Buddhist sect in Japan). Ryukoku University is in Kyōto, but also has a campus in the hills above Ōtsu, not far from the Kyoto University Center for Ecological Research, where I used to work. I even have a friend who works at Ryukoku. Maybe this all means you can never really escape Seta...
